Studio Brief, Logotype - Placing typeface onto context

To see how well my typeface works on context I placed it on movie posters, book covers and magazine titles that use similar style type. What I noticed about my type is that because of the thick stems, it widens the typeface, making it look 'boxy' and doesn't reflect the context of which its placed on. So I had to increase the cap height, producing taller words which helped with the visual balance. There are limitations with my typeface however, the partial style and the way the letters are formed does not entirely fit with every piece of context. Also there are problems with the I and R being next to each other. It can be confused as just being an R. This can be seen in the poster for Akira and maybe Vanity Fair. However I did increase the kerning in "Fair" to lessen the issue.

Finally I thought of placing my typeface onto what I believe is the most mysterious form of advertising of them all which is perfume adverts. The typeface is successful given this context because of its elegance that reflects the high status of each brand and the partiality that gives off the mysterious aspect.
