Removing associations

 

Converting the imagery of the traditional garments into vectors removes much of the stereotypical associations one makes of these cultures. The ambiguity of the vector shapes provide a clean slate for the audience to impart their judgement of the festival. 

These three are chosen to represent each opera as they are characteristic enough to be identifiable on their own as well as work together visually.
