Studio Brief 02 - Raf Simons 1995/96 Spread

The aim of these pages are to play on the fact that these images are from video stills and not professionally taken photos.

On the left page this idea is taken from one of the pages in Maison Martin Margielas book.

Although it may seem to be a direct copy, Simons was inspired by Martin Margiela throughout his career and it was at his runway show which ignited his decision to pursue fashion full-time. So despite the copy, there is some relevance to it.

The second page was inspired by the first in that the video stills be presented in a grid style. The black bars that peek through the stills help convey the idea of seeing the stills in a video player.
